The Japanese nagajuban is an undergarment dress worn under a traditional kimono
The Nagajuban is worn under the Japanese kimono to avoid damaging the fabric through skin contact, or perspiration. Wearing the Nagajuban makes the difference between a kimono and a yukata (light kimono). To wear this Japanese garment, you need to follow rules. During the Edo period, most Japanese women wore kimonos all day long. Wearing the kimono was also democratized among men.
