The kimono is handcrafted using age-old techniques, featuring 100% cotton yarns that are resist-dyed, twirled, and skillfully hand-loomed. This craftsmanship results in a shaded-pattern effect, celebrating the bright turquoise, navy blue, and light grey pattern reminiscent of the Kenyan sea and sky. The kimono is adorned with extravagant white flower bursts of embroidery around the neckline and on the sleeves. This intricate embroidery adds a touch of glamour to the piece.

Handwoven by our community of artisans this ikat piece is a slow fashion product, supporting ancient weaving techniques, and small communities of artists, who inherited their looms from their ancestors and practise their expertise passed through generations. This, makes this piece so unique.
